Build a reputation with e-mail marketing
I had a client come to me pretty down hearted, hes spent several years on-line building different types of websites and now he has finally decided on one for the long term, he pushes products for affiliates using clickbank. Clickbank is one of the best websites to use when it comes to selling affiliate products, within a couple of clicks you can have an affiliate link for any of the 100,000+ products stored on there database. I personally like affiliate marketing as a side project and wouldn’t try to build a full blown income from it (even though some people happily do), I promote affiliate products in my blog posts over at my main site each time I come across a good product.
I asked my client if he uses e-mail marketing and his response was “seem’s like to much effort”, straight away I knew why he hasn’t been successful, hes not utilising all methods of promotion, if hes got this attitude about e-mail marketing then its highly possible he has the same feelings about other methods of promotion.
I told him if he uses e-mail marketing as a form of promotion he will be surprised at the results and maybe think twice before thinking its too much work. E-mail marketing is an easy way to push your products across thousands of people with a click of a button. Obviously e-mail marketing isn’t as simple as just sending e-mails to people and expecting them to buy your products, there’s so many other companies sending them products so some how you have to build up a reputation for yourself so your e-mails stand out. I often start by giving them free valuable information to help them get more from there website, I’ll also give them some top quality software for free to help build links to there site ect. By giving free content you are already starting to build up a reputation for yourself and it will make it easier to push your products and get sales.
I have been doing email marketing for a few years now and I swear by Aweber, there customer support is top notch along with there fantastic e-mail delivery service.
